Be careful what you wish for Mr. President, you just may get it. What will you say when you lose majorities in both houses of Congress? What will you say on January 20, 2013 when you are heading back to community organizing in Chicago?

Sunday, the day of the health care vote in the House of Representatives, the site received 400% more visits than is normal. Most of these visits came during and after the vote. Here are the leading keywords that were used on Sunday (in order):

Besides the fact that even misspellings are bringing visitors to the site, it is important to note the underlying theme that Democrats and Obamacare suck. As a side note, I think that George W. Bush is getting some blame for the Democrat majority that passed this legislation. I thought it was also funny that NBC anchorman Brian Williams was also thrown into the mix.

Monday, this site had even more explosive growth. The number of visits grew by 600%. The keywords were similar. Here they are in order of use:

My favorite is “rahm emanuel sucks.” The “we-are-screwed.com” one is interesting in that it takes you to that domain which is redirected to democratssuck.com. I do not own or control that domain, so whoever is doing that, “Thanks!”

More importantly, the rise in visits and the keywords indicate the discontent that we feel. Obama and the Democrats can congratulate themselves until November. That is when we show them who is boss.

We need to vote in November and let the Democrats understand that power in this country comes from the people and it can be taken away by the people. The myopic vision of the Democrats is leading us and them to ruin.

For the first time in the history of the United States, the Federal government will mandate that we buy a service or be fined. Crazier than this mandate is the enforcement associated with it. If you or your employer do not comply, you will be fined. The government will also grant the IRS more powers. They will be the enforcement arm of this law. It is outrageous! We are taking the tax collectors and giving them police powers over the purchase of health insurance.

The immediate impact of this legislation is that taxes will go up. Employees will see less money in their paychecks for several years before seeing any return on their money. Employers will have to offer health insurance to employees including part timers. This will mean that it will not be cost effective to hire more employees and will lead to lower salaries for existing positions. The cost for this mandate has to be covered somehow and I guarantee it will be covered through higher prices to customers, less employment and/or lower salaries. It could also lead to more off-shoring of service jobs like telemarketing.

I know of one business that could be pushed into bankruptcy by this legislation because of the low margins associated with the business and the business’ need for dozens of part time employees to function. It sickens me to think that someone’s hard work at building a business and providing employment to many needy part time employees could all be wiped out by a Socialist and arrogant President and his zombies in Congress. 

I am hopeful that several Attorney Generals will file lawsuits on the lack of constitutional basis for this legislation. However, it will take years for the lawsuits to get through the courts and, by then, the damage will have been done to many small businesses. Shame on the Democrats! Most of the lawmakers who pushed this through have not started a business, hired employees or struggled to make a payroll. That is why this arrogant group of do-nothing shit heads have passed this health care bill. (Yes, I realize it is the first time that I have cursed on this blog, but I think the circumstances merit it.)

It is now our turn. During the next election let’s vote every Democrat that is in office out. We need to tell them who is boss and they need to pay a heavy price. Losing a few seats is not enough. Losing every seat is not enough. I hope Democrats lose power forever. They want to take this country in a liberal and socialist path. That path is not what we the American people want or what made this country powerful and great. Do not forget this injustice. Vote all the bastards out!

I just finished reading Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime. This books provides an inside view of the 2008 presidential campaign and all its personalities. If more than half of what is in the book is true, it is extraordinarily damning of the people involved in 2008. We should have all pulled a lever labeled, “None of the above.” All the candidates who ran for the nomination and presidency from both parties are portrayed as megalomaniacs, bumbling fools or disorganized big mouths and hypocrites. How sad for this country.

My reading of the book makes me feel that it is historically accurate. My only reservation is that the authors may be closet Obama liberals. I do not know enough about their backgrounds to make a definitive statement. What I do know is from the inside flap of the book which says that John Heilemann is the national political correspondent and columnist for New York magazine and that he has written for The New Yorker, Wired and The Economist. Mark Halperin is editor-at-large and senior political analyst for Time magazine and also worked for ten years as the political director for ABC News. Their resumes do not exactly give me a feeling of conservative leanings.

The book is well written and is extremely interesting. I had to force myself to put it down and do other things. Because of this, I would recommend the book. My favorite quote from the book is from then Senator Hillary Clinton on March 3, 2008: “I have a lifetime of experience I will bring to the White House. Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience he will bring to the White House. And Senator Obama has a speech he made in 2002.”

McCain: Remove all the special deals for the special interests and favored few and threat all Americans the same under provisions of the law so that they will know that geography does not dictate what kind of health care they would receive. I thank you Mr. President.

Obama: Let me just make this point, John, because we are not campaigning anymore, the election is over.

McCain: I’m reminded of that every day. (nervous laughter from McCain)

Obama: Well, yeah, uh. So, the uh. We can spend the remainder of the time with our respective talking points going back and forth. We were supposed to be talking about insurance.

Let me ask you, is this the “hope and change” and bipartisanship that Obama pledged?

The story reminds me of President Obama. He struts about as if he were the most awe inspiring president that the country has ever had. He declines to listen to the wishes of the people and does so with so much insolence that he has prompted movements like the “Tea Party.”

Like the emperor of the story, he has been taken by a pair of swindlers who have sold him a health care reform bill that is unconstitutional at best. The two swindlers are Speaker of the House Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV). Reid is on his way to defeat and political obscurity in 2010—much like Senate Majority leader Dashle (D-SD) in 2004. (What is it about these Democrat leaders that they cannot hold onto their seats? Could it be arrogance?) Pelosi is safe in her liberal district, but could lose her position if Republicans gain a majority or enough momentum in 2010 that remaining Democrats realize that they need new leadership. We’ll see.

Unfortunately, we are stuck with President Obama until 2012. I hope that someone feisty will come along and tell him, “The emperor has no clothes.” It would have to be someone close to him who he trusts. Reverend Jeremiah Wright or Bill Ayers can you help us out? We need Obama to realize his dissonance with the wishes of the American people.

I can honestly say that I do.

This shows once again how little conviction the President has. Days after announcing a spending freeze to help with the budget deficit, he makes exceptions for his favorite voting block. It also proves that the little he tries to do always has a political calculus. He has had a completely unsuccessful first year and is well on his way to another one.

Republicans are exited about their prospects for 2010. However, I’m praying for 2012 to get here faster before President Obama completely destroys the country.

Senator-elect Scott Brown becomes the 41st vote and prevents the Democrats from having unlimited power in the Senate. They will need to negotiate with Republicans and make some concessions to get legislation moved through or they could face a filibuster. This reality and the fact that the voters spoke loudly and clearly has already stymied the Democrat’s efforts at ramming health care reform through Congress and on Americans.

Air America has always been a joke of a radio network. It tried to produce a counter-point to conservative talk radio and the Fox News network which many perceive as conservative. (I think Fox News is fair and balanced.) Air America failed to garner listeners and was built on the premise that there was a need for such a network. Everyone with a quarter of a brain knows that there is no need for such a network when you have MSNBC, CNBC and the “broadcast” networks constantly drinking the Obama Kool-Aid and praising his every move. If Obama farts, MSNBC will broadcast that our visionary commander-in-chief has developed a new fragrance that will make a better world and spread peace and tranquility worldwide. (This would be funny if it were not true.)

The third item that has Democrats worried is that the Supreme Court decided that McCain-Feingold and other measures restrict freedom of speech. They decided in a 5-4 vote that corporations, unions and other entities  should be allowed to spend as much as they want on political ads and campaigns. Democrats know that since they are so anti-capitalist, they will not get the majority of this spending. Chances are that Republicans will benefit hugely from this. If you look at what has happened to the stock market since Obama pledged to go after the banks, you can understand why business will not favor the Democrats.

Personally, I am happiest about the first two items. Scott Brown winning in Massachusetts is a great thing. He seems like a genuine person who may have a great future ahead of him. Air America was always a wacky network. They had comedian and now Senator Al Franken (D-MN) on the air for a while. Doesn’t that say it all?

I always considered campaign finance reform to be a good thing. I have never been one to believe that a government seat should be purchased by any special interest group or corporation. Then again, I am also not fond of groups like ACORN that skirt our laws. Perhaps unlimited spending will offset the registration of “Mickey Mouse” as a voter. One can only hope.

The fact is that Democrats have had a bad week. One that they will surely not forget soon.

Obama also suggested that the reason Brown won was that people are angry and that it was the same sentiment that got him elected to the Presidency. He believes that the anger and frustration is “not just because of what’s happened in the last year or two years, but what’s happened over the last eight years.” This is classic Obama still blaming George W. Bush. His statement forces me to quote Reagan one more time today, “There he goes again.”
