The worst thing about the arrogant leftists in this country is that they absolutely cannot handle a difference of opinion or a loss at the hands of the people. Why should they? They, of course, know better.

The following video shows one nut case that happens to have a television show on the very fair and balanced MSNBC (I’m am oozing sarcasm, of course.):

It is time that MSNBC gave psychological exams to people that it puts on the air. The ownership at MSNBC should also examine why someone is allowed to call a Senator-elect a tea-bagger among other offensive remarks. It is unprofessional and uncalled for.

The world is already reacting to the stunning upset by Senator Scott Brown (R-MA). Brown is now the 41st Republican vote in the Senate. This victory will temper the Democrats’ arrogance, mandates, taxation and spending. Even our currency is reacting positively to this victory. Reuters reported today that the United States dollar rallied against the euro with the euro hitting a new low.

According to the Reuters report, “investors reckoned the Massachusetts election of a Republican to the U.S. Senate was dollar positive as it might see the government rein in spending and reduce the fiscal deficit.” (You can read it here.) Several analysts and web sites are also predicting a stock market rally after Brown’s win. We will see if they were correct in a couple of hours today.

Regardless of the immediate impact on the dollar and the stock market, this victory is great for America. The Democrats needed a loud reminder of who is in charge—the American voter. This election should temper the Democrats’ desire to convert the United States into a secular-socialist country. That is not what so many have died building and defending. Maybe Obama will start reading some of Ronald Reagan’s speeches and quotes. Here is a good one for him: “We’ve been blessed with the opportunity to stand for something – for liberty and freedom and fairness. And these are things worth fighting for, worth devoting our lives to.”

Perhaps this loss by the Democrats will require them to reexamine their goals, cynicism and negative view of the majority of the voters in this country. Maybe they should be reminded of what the United States really is by this Reagan quote: “The history of our civilization, the great advances that made it possible, is not a story of cynics or doom criers. It is a gallant chronicle of the optimists, the determined people, men and women, who dreamed great dreams and dared to try whatever it took to make them come true.”

It is a new day for this country. Thank you Senator Scott Brown (R-MA).

Obama ran on the premise of “change.” Unfortunately, his change is one that the electorate of this country is soundly rejecting. The real change has started with the three Democratic losses in Virginia, New Jersey and now Massachusetts—the bluest of states. It is so blue, that Obama carried Massachusetts by 26 percentage points and Kennedy held the Senate seat for 47 years.

The Democrats in the House of Representative and Senate must now realize that “we the people” will not accept rushed Christmas Eve votes, special deals for Louisiana and Nebraska, special deals for the union health plans, record deficits and secret negotiations to jam the health care bill through Congress. “We the people” will remove all incumbents and put fresh faces with new ideas into office.

The arrogance of the Democrats has caused this defeat and will cause many more electoral defeats if they do not change immediately. The health care bill should be abandoned immediately. President Obama should concentrate on building the economy, creating jobs and keeping this country safe. Instead of forcing people to spend on programs that they do not want, the government should create tax incentives for new and existing small businesses to expand and hire people. Are you listening Democrats? Are you listening President Obama? (Or will your continued arrogance lead you to complete political annihilation at the voting booths across America?)

It is a great day for America! Congratulations on your victory Senator Scott Brown (R-MA). Thank you God for this victory.

No, I am not advocating the use of UPS—although they are a great company with excellent service. Instead, I am advocating a victory for Republican Scott Brown in the race for the seat left vacant by the deceased Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA). Massachusetts is a state that is solidly Democrat with a three to one margin of registered Democrats to Republicans. Even with these staggering odds against him, Scott Brown is polling well and seems to have the momentum to win this race. Let’s hope it happens. A victory for Brown in Massachusetts would deprive the Democrats from having a filibuster-proof super majority in the Senate and would show them convincingly that the public is angry and will not stand for the socializing of the greatest country on earth.

The frustration that voters are feeling with Obama and his legions is palpable. Voters have expressed this frustration at town hall meetings and in larger “tea party” demonstrations. Despite the obvious voter antipathy for team Obama’s plans and the trouncing of Democratic candidates in New Jersey and Virginia, the Democrats have not gotten the message and have continued to move forward in the most arrogant path I have ever seen. A Scott Brown win would have to wake up the tone deaf Democrats and just might succeed in stopping socialized medicine in its tracks as well as slowing or eliminating future attacks on our capitalist institutions and ways of life.

Attorney General Martha Coakley (D-MA) has a thin resume and has arrogantly presumed from the start of the campaign that she is entitled to the Senate seat because she is a Democrat. She and other Democrats also appear to presume that since Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA) held the seat for 47 years they should continue to “own” that Senate seat. She has not spent as much time as Brown in one on one meetings with the public to better understand what they want from an elected official. She has also made major verbal gaffes like calling retired Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling a Yankee’s fan. Schilling, referring to the people of Massachusetts, has been quoted as saying that Coakley is “out of touch with who they are and what they are and what they want.” You can read his interesting opinions and the comments that other Massachusetts residents are posting at: http://38pitches.weei.com/

Democrats are doing everything they can to help Coakley. Obama has campaigned for her and filmed a commercial with her. Ted Kennedy’s widow, Vikki has endorsed her. President Clinton has been flown in for his star power and major pharmaceutical companies raised money for her in a Washington, D.C. event. These are the companies whose lobbyists are helping Coakley: Pfizer, Merck, Amgen, Sanofi-Aventis, Eli Lilly, Novartis, Astra-Zeneca, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, HealthSouth, and United Health. Based on that list, do you think that Coakley is representing what is best for you? (Perhaps she and other Democrats are trying to push through a huge health care bill that benefits the large pharmaceuticals and insurance companies instead of us. That would be my educated guess.)

Let’s hope that all this push from the left ends in failure like it did in the New Jersey and Virginia governor’s races. So let’s hear a loud and resounding, “Go Brown!”

This occurs two weeks after his sister Eunice Kennedy Shriver died. It is bad enough to lose one person in your family; losing two in such close proximity brings unimaginable sorrow. My condolences go out to his family and close friends.

Senator Kennedy was an unquestionably successful senator who promoted many liberal causes wholeheartedly. His influence was felt nationwide and his opinions on presidential candidates often made the difference between broad support and marginalization of candidates.

Although I disagreed with Senator Kennedy on almost all issues, I can respect his 46 years of service in the Senate.

The following speech from last years Democratic convention in Denver was one of his last major speeches.

Senator Kennedy supported candidate Obama from the start and is one of the reasons that Obama prevailed over Hillary Clinton for the nomination for president.

Again, I wish the family my condolences in this trying moment.

Senator Edward M. Kennedy (D – MA), who is dying of brain cancer, has written a letter to the Massachusetts state legislature asking them to change the law to allow Governor Deval Patrick (D – MA) to appoint a temporary replacement should he die. The current law was put in place when Senator Kerry (D – MA) was running for president and Mitt Romney (R – MA) was the governor. The Democrats did not want Romney to name a Republican for the seat should Kerry win.

Now that a Democrat is governor, they want the law changed again. This is the problem with Democrats. They talk a good game about fairness in government, politics and the private sector, but what they deliver is blatant lack of fairness and transparency. Every decade or so, they fool enough of the electorate into voting them into power and then we all have to suffer their inequity.

I think that the law should stand as is. The current law, passed by Democrats to prevent a Republican from gaining a senate seat should be inflicted on them as well. It requires a special election between 145 to 160 days after a vacancy of a United States Senate seat. There is absolutely nothing wrong with letting the people of Massachusetts decide who they want to represent them. If they vote another Democrat into the office, so be it.

The fact that Kennedy wants the law changed shows that the Democrats know that the electorate is angry about having health care reform forced on them. They are afraid of losing a senate seat when that special election takes place. Let’s make sure that we the people are heard. Contact your representatives in the state legislature in Massachusetts and make sure that they do not change the law to be self-serving once again. Tell them you want fairness or they will be voted out during the next election cycle.

(The Boston Globe has a copy of the letter on its web site. You can view it here.)
