Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) called the health care bill that is now headed for cloture “a legislative train wreck of historic proportions.” Most of the country agrees with him. Nonetheless, the Senate is on its way to imposing its will on the American people just for the sake of saying that they accomplished something. This is a truly sad moment in American history.

The Senate Democrats have cajoled, bribed and threatened their way to a 60 vote super-majority. Each of the Democratic Senators that had objected to the bill have been “convinced” to vote for cloture. This puts the bill one step closer to passage. The next step is to reconcile the bill with the House version.

Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE) was the last hold out against the bill. He had expressed concerns about federal funds being used for abortions. He wanted specific language in the bill to prevent public moneys from being used for this purpose. According to reports today, he got some language inserted into the bill, but it is not clear what it is or how much he compromised his conscience. There are also rumors that he was given monetary incentives for his state. How pathetic is that?

It is not too late. Call your Senators and Congressmen and tell them how you want them to vote. Remind them that this is the United States of America—not the Socialist States of America. Remind them that your vote and opinion matters.

The vote was 240-179 with a few Democrats voting against the measure and few Republicans voting for it.

Everyone knows that it was a lack of decorum for Representative Joe Wilson to scream out, “You Lie!” He has apologized for this faux pas, but does it really merit the attention of the entire House of Representatives? Is there nothing else that our paid members of congress could be doing with their time?

It really infuriates me that they could waste time on this sort of nonsense. If we take their salaries and those of all other federal employees that were involved in this and factor in the time, I bet that the sum would be huge. This should not be tolerated by us taxpayers. We need to march on Washington and, more importantly, vote these cretins out.

Now that the Fox News has exposed how partisan Acorn really is and how it is trying to steal the election using voter fraud, it is time for us to do something about it. It is not enough to watch television and get dismayed at the filing of fake voter registration forms and the theft of tax dollars while promoting one candidate. One reader wrote me asking that I post a few links to help people do something about it.

One link takes you to a site that shows you all that Acorn is doing wrong and the other two are links to the House of Representatives and the Senate so that you can ask your representatives in Congress and Senators to do something about it.

Here they are:

http://www.rottenacorn.com/
https://forms.house.gov/wyr/welcome.shtml
http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm

Acorn gets $25 million a year of taxpayer funds. Is this fair?
