When I was growing up there was a quaint and often repeated joke about the three rings of life. It went like this: first there is the engagement ring, then the wedding ring and, finally, the suffering. Since it was usually a young man uttering this joke, you could argue that it was a bit misogynist. The current political situation is similar in that we end up with suffering, but without the misogyny.

If Senator Obama wins the presidency, we will have established two rings of hell and we will be well on our way to an inferno that Dante could never have imagined. The first ring will be a Congress that is dominated by liberal Democrats and run by Senator Harry Reid and Representative Nancy Pelosi. As if this were not hell enough, we will also have an ultra-liberal president who wants to redistribute our income and change the entire country to more liberal, secular views. Now for the third ring–the one that will bring on the suffering. That ring, the Supreme Court, is the last viable check and balance against Democrat hegemony.

Obama will be able to appoint two or three Supreme Court justices in his first term. Even worse than that, he could get to appoint two more by the end of a second term. That is five Supreme Court justices that he could appoint with no opposition from Congress. He could appoint the most liberal judges that he can find and establish liberal control of the Supreme Court for decades. Who knows what could happen then? Perhaps infanticide and assisted suicide would become the uncontested law of the land. Keep in mind that five Supreme Court justices would constitute a majority.

Liberal control of the Supreme Court could shape our society more than any other branch of government. The justices do not need to be reelected and are installed for life. They can do whatever they want. If you do not believe it, then go back to January 22, 1973 when the Supreme Court made it legal to have abortions with the Roe vs. Wade decision. It is estimated that over 50 million children have been killed because of that decision. It is reasonable to estimate that if these children had been born, at least 1% would be geniuses or high achievers. Think about how much more advanced the United States would be with an additional 500,000 intelligent, high achievers. What a waste of human potential and loss of human advancement.

If you are angered by the idea of homosexual marriage, the removal of any mention of religion from our school systems, the removal of “In God We Trust,” and the promotion of other liberal causes, then you should be very concerned about an Obama victory. An Obama presidency will guarantee liberal control of the country for the foreseeable future. It is an incredible inferno full of suffering for all and justice for none.

If you are not interested in social issues or religious issues, but instead are worried about your bottom line, then consider a president who wants you to “share the wealth” coupled with a Congress that also wants to tax you into the ground and then couple that with a liberal and activist Supreme Court and what do you have? You end up with a socialist country modeled after many of the countries in the European Union. Is that the path that the United States should take or should it continue to create a path that other countries envy and want to emulate?

What country is feared, envied and respected at the same time? What country has established an empire greater than has ever been seen on the face of the planet before? What country has achieved this sort of global domination in history? Only the United States has done this. Why throw it away to pursue a political and social theory that has been proven a failure repeatedly?

You know the answers to these questions. There is no reason to abandon our supremacy, or to change our way of life. I have written it before in this site, but here it is again, “Don’t drink the Kool-Aid.” We do not need a liberal, inexperienced president or Supreme Court. Let’s stay away from the suffering, vote intelligently and vote often (the often is just to offset Acorn).

Vote McCain-Palin on September 4th and donate to The National Republican Trust so that they can air anti-Obama ads.

One of our Democrat readers wrote a lengthy comment on how ridiculous my arguments were about Obama not being a Christian. He began his response by saying that I do not even define what a Christian is. Well, let’s start with that one. He quotes the Merriam-Webster dictionary which says that being a Christian is “one who professes belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ” and then goes on to say that Senator Obama has professed such a belief. He also says that the real issue is that Obama does not meet my personal standards for a Christian and that my standards are immaterial.

Senator Obama does not meet my personal standards–that is a fact. However, more importantly, he does not meet the standards for Christianity in general. That is the essence of my post. He says that he is a Christian, but his belief system is that of a secular humanist. He does not ascribe to any other teachings of any Christian denomination. This is a fact and goes to the very core of the argument that he is not a Christian.

The same reader takes issue with my saying that “he is perpetrating the biggest political hoax of all time.” He almost admits that it might be true, but then goes on to argue that it has nothing to do with my thesis that Obama is not a Christian. I submit that it has everything to do with my thesis. The hoax that he is perpetrating is making people believe that he is a Christian so that they will feel more comfortable voting for him. The hoax is the true issue and the whole point of my previous post. I even grant that being a Christian is not a requirement to run for president. What is necessary (or, at least, should be) is honesty–something Senator Obama demonstrates his lack of daily.

The same reader then takes issue with my distaste for Senator Obama’s support of abortion under any circumstance. He goes on to argue that Obama has opposed certain pro-life bills because thy did not include an exception for the health of the mother. Please! These exceptions for the “health of the mother” are the biggest crock. How is the health of the mother ever affected during a “partial-birth” abortion. The baby is already being delivered. Killing the baby, or letting it live, has no effect on the “mother.” Senator Obama’s support for abortion is so unwavering (as he himself has claimed) that he has a one hundred percent rating from Illinois Planned Parenthood. How could anyone call Obama a Christian with this kind of record?

Another point that the reader objects to is my mention of the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act that Obama voted against. The reader believes that it was right for Obama to vote against it because it was a tactic by the pro-life movement to weaken Roe v. Wade. If you ascribe to this logic, then it means that it is perfectly alright to allow a baby that was born alive to die in order to preserve a woman’s right to terminate her pregnancy then and in the future. How is that Christian? I think it is the ultimate in selfishness.

The reader further takes exception to my bringing up that Senator Obama’s views on Jesus, Christianity, and gay marriage are completely at odds with the views of Christianity. He does not like the YouTube video that I display either. It is fine for him to disagree with my choice of video to display and even his disagreeing with my certainty that Obama’s views on the issues are at odds with Christianity. He also asks me directly what Jesus’s views are on gay marriage and says that Jesus never addressed it.

I’ve been accused of being old, but I am not 2000 years old. It is, therefore, very difficult for me to answer what Jesus’ views were on gay marriage. I can only look it up in Christian scripture. Here are some quotes:

Matthew 19:3-12 (New International Version): Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”

Leviticus 20:13 (New International Version): If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

Leviticus 20:13 (King James Version): If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

If you read the scripture, it is quite clear that Obama is not following the tenets of Christianity.

My reader says that my thesis should have been phrased as, “Obama fails to meet my rather narrow, politically-motivated view of Christianity.” Although his statement is correct, Obama does fail to meet my view of Christianity, he fails to meet most of the requirements for being a part of the faith by the faith’s own teachings as shown by scripture.

I want to thank my Democrat reader with all his objections. By stating those objections and saying that my arguments were weak, he gave me an opportunity to expand on the ideas and to further prove my point. That point is that Senator Obama is not telling the truth. He is not a Christian and he should not be running for president saying that he is.

Anyone who has paid attention to the campaign must surely know by now that Senator Barack Hussein Obama is not a Christian by anyone’s definition of the word. Just to be clear, I am not saying this because of the picture of him wearing a turban when he was younger, his education at a Muslim school from 1967 to 1971 or because his middle name is Hussein. (Please note that I have avoided using his middle name in this site in all postings until this one. I have not wanted to give anyone the impression that his name is relevant to his running for president. I am trying to make a larger point here.)

All these facts have been used against him, but what is really worrisome is that you do not hear any Christian beliefs coming from him at all. This is not to say that you must be Christian to run for office, but Obama professes to be Christian and does not support any of its tenets. He is perpetrating the biggest political hoax of all time. This is a man who not only supports abortion under any circumstance, but has also supported infanticide by rejecting Illinois legislation known as the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act of 2001-2002. This legislation would have required abortion providers to provide immediate health care to any infant born alive after a failed abortion. If you cannot support that legislation, you cannot call yourself a Christian, or even a member of most other faiths.

Here is some video about the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act and how then Illinois State Senator Obama handled it:

Gianna Jessen, who was adopted, agreed to film a commercial against Obama. She is a survivor of a failed abortion and is angry at Obama because his lack of action would lead to people like her being suffocated to death or left to die without any human rights. Obama voted four times against the Born-Alive Infant Protection act. Here is her ad against Obama.

In addition to the ad, Gianna Jessen went on the television show Hannity & Colmes to explain her position and to describe what had happened to her. She feels it is her mission to change the views of those that believe that it is alright to leave a living baby to die. She is a real Christian–not Senator Obama.

I addition to his unapologetic views on abortion and infanticide, Senator Obama has views on Jesus, Christianity, and gay marriage that are completely at odds with the views of Christianity. The following video has a compilation of some of his statements over the last year. Please note that his viewpoints are always secular. (Please do not click on the video if you do not want to see graphic images. This video contains very raw footage of aborted babies.)

Once you examine the facts about Senator Obama, you realize that he has no Christian beliefs whatsoever. His only claim to Christianity are his visits to the Trinity United Church of Christ. According to him, these visits can’t be counted either since he was not paying attention to what Reverend Jeremiah Wright was saying in the church. He claims he did not know that his pastor was repeatedly, "damning America." This is a common response for Senator Obama. He has also claimed not to know what Ayers, Rezco, or Acorn were saying or doing. If he truly is so naive, can we afford to have him as president? You know the answer to that.

I think that if Obama were honest he would say that he is a secular progressive and that he is not religious at all. Of course, he cannot say that because he fears that the Christians in this country and the members of many other faiths would not elect him. He believes what is convenient to get ahead and that is the most dangerous of all belief systems.
