The Tidal Wave of “Change” Has Started
Obama ran on the premise of “change.” Unfortunately, his change is one that the electorate of this country is soundly rejecting. The real change has started with the three Democratic losses in Virginia, New Jersey and now Massachusetts—the bluest of states. It is so blue, that Obama carried Massachusetts by 26 percentage points and Kennedy held the Senate seat for 47 years.
The Democrats in the House of Representative and Senate must now realize that “we the people” will not accept rushed Christmas Eve votes, special deals for Louisiana and Nebraska, special deals for the union health plans, record deficits and secret negotiations to jam the health care bill through Congress. “We the people” will remove all incumbents and put fresh faces with new ideas into office.
The arrogance of the Democrats has caused this defeat and will cause many more electoral defeats if they do not change immediately. The health care bill should be abandoned immediately. President Obama should concentrate on building the economy, creating jobs and keeping this country safe. Instead of forcing people to spend on programs that they do not want, the government should create tax incentives for new and existing small businesses to expand and hire people. Are you listening Democrats? Are you listening President Obama? (Or will your continued arrogance lead you to complete political annihilation at the voting booths across America?)
It is a great day for America! Congratulations on your victory Senator Scott Brown (R-MA). Thank you God for this victory.
