Florida Senator Mel Martinez (R) Resigns
Senator Mel Martinez, a 62 year old Cuban-American representing Florida has resigned his seat early. He had already decided not to run for reelection prior to his resignation. He says “there’s no impeding reason, it’s just my desire to move on.”
