Super Majority for Democrats

July 1st was a sad day for America. Lousy comedian and liberal extraordinaire Al Franken was officially made a United States senator after the Minnesota Supreme Court declared him the winner and Norm Coleman conceded. The Democrats now have fifty-eight senators and two independents who normally vote with them giving them a filibuster-proof majority.
This means that the Democrats can railroad any legislation they want through the Senate and have President Obama sign it. We’re off and running towards a Socialist state in a hurry with this development. You will be able to enjoy government cars, health care, insurance and banking. Health care may even get as bad as it is in Canada or the United Kingdom, where you have to wait months for surgeries. It is so awful in Canada that I recently met a Canadian who flew into the United States to get laser spine surgery. He could not wait any longer because he was in excruciating pain. He ended up paying for his flight to the United States and $30,000 in cash for the surgery. Is that a future we want for us? Do we want to have to fly to another country to get medical care?
It is scary to think what the Democrats will do with their new majority. They can install any judge they want. They can pass laws to limit our constitution and ban God and weapons. Just thinking about some of their pet causes makes me nervous and yearn for better days. It is now more important than ever for the people to speak out. We must let our elected officials know that we do not want US GM, US Chrysler or US Bank. We want a capitalist system that works and is not bullied by government into making ridiculous mistakes that are now costing us about a trillion dollars.
It is ironic that while China becomes increasingly Capitalist and wealthier, we are becoming increasingly Socialist and poorer. We need a new Republican hero to save us from this mess. If you have any ideas on who that might be, then please add your comments and let me know.
